Dale Conour grew up on the Northern California coast where he wrote, drew, played his clarinet, and underachieved in school.
He went onto California State University, Chico, where he wrote, drew, played his clarinet, and underachieved in school.
He's now a 20-year survivor of Bay Area journalism who occasionally writes, draws only when restaurants provide crayons, plays his clarinet twice a year and gave up underachieving when things got interesting.
Emerson is a work in progress, and Conour hopes it grows into a collaborative effort by creative souls who believe that life's too cool to ignore.
